AirPods Pro 3 Drop to $199, AirPods Max 2 Falls to $429

AirPods Pro 3 have dropped to $199 at Amazon this week, a $50 cut from their $249 list price, while AirPods Max 2 are down to $429, a $120 cut from $549. Both discounts follow Amazon's fall Prime Day event, during which AirPods Pro 3 were among the most popular purchases across all categories.

AirPods Pro 3 at $199
The current price sits within $20 of the lowest price tracked so far, which came during the fall Prime Big Deal Days sale in early October, when AirPods Pro 3 briefly hit about $179 for a short window before climbing back up.

AirPods Max 2 at $429
At $429, AirPods Max 2 are $120 off their $549 list price, one of only a few times the over-ear model has dropped under $450 since its release earlier in 2026. For shoppers who have held off on the higher launch price, this is one of the more meaningful cuts seen so far.

Why the price could move again
Deal trackers note prices on both models have swung during October, and another drop toward Black Friday is possible, so buyers watching for the lowest price may want to wait before buying, while those who want a confirmed discount now can lock in today's price.

What AirPods Pro 3 still offer at full price
Beyond the discount, AirPods Pro 3 remain Apple's current flagship earbuds, built around active noise cancellation and a sealed in-ear fit designed for all-day wear, along with hands-free Siri access and a case that supports wireless charging.

What sets AirPods Max 2 apart
AirPods Max 2 use an over-ear design rather than Pro 3's in-ear fit, trading portability for a larger battery and a different sound signature that some listeners prefer for long listening sessions at a desk or on longer flights.

Where to buy the deal
Both discounted prices are currently listed at Amazon, though stock and pricing on deal listings can change without notice, and Amazon can adjust either price at any time during an active sale window.

Picking between the two models
Shoppers torn between the two should weigh how they listen day to day: AirPods Pro 3 fit in a pocket and suit commuting or workouts, while AirPods Max 2 favor desk use, travel, or anyone who already prefers over-ear headphones for noise cancellation and comfort over multi-hour sessions.
