Vivo X300 and X300 Pro Set for Global Launch on October 30
The Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro are set for a global debut on October 30, bringing the pair's 200MP periscope cameras and MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip to markets outside China for the first time. Vivo confirmed the global launch date through its social channels in Austria, Spain, and the Czech Republic, with the event set for 5 PM local time in Europe.
A new operating system for global buyers
The Vivo X300 series will be the first global Vivo lineup to ship with OriginOS 6 preinstalled, replacing Funtouch OS, which past global Vivo phones have used. It's a significant software shift for the brand outside China, where OriginOS has so far been reserved for the domestic market.
Display and battery
The standard Vivo X300 uses a 6.31-inch OLED display at 1.5K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Vivo X300 Pro steps up to a 6.78-inch OLED panel at the same resolution and refresh rate. Battery capacity grows with the Pro model too, at 6,510mAh compared to the standard model's 6,040mAh. Both support 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging.
Camera hardware built around periscope zoom
The Vivo X300 pairs a 200MP Samsung HPB main sensor with OIS alongside a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP periscope lens, also with OIS. The X300 Pro flips the layout, using a 50MP Sony LYT-828 main sensor with a 200MP Samsung HPB periscope lens for extended zoom. Both phones share a 50MP selfie camera with autofocus.
An optional Zeiss teleconverter
Vivo is also offering an optional Zeiss teleconverter accessory for both the X300 and X300 Pro, aimed at buyers who want extra reach from the periscope camera without stepping up to a more expensive model.
Chip performance
Both phones run on MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 chip, the same silicon Vivo used for the X300 series when it launched in China earlier this month. That should mean global buyers get the same performance as the Chinese version rather than a downgraded chip for other regions.
Pricing and other markets
Vivo hasn't announced pricing for the October 30 global launch. An India release hasn't been confirmed either, with current speculation pointing to a late November or December arrival for that market.
A case ready for launch day
A camera system built around a 200MP periscope lens is worth protecting from day one. Komodoty makes slim, precise cases for the Vivo X300 series, built from materials like slim wood with a Kevlar core, aramid fiber, and Alcantara, with accurate cutouts and support for wireless charging.
