A new leak adds more detail to the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max display, following earlier rumors about the Xiaomi 18 lineup (Xiaomi 18, 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, and 18 Ultra).

The tipster Digital Chat Station says Xiaomi is working on a 6.9-inch flat display using LIPO packaging, with narrow bezels on all four sides. The leak also mentions BT.2020 color gamut support, which is commonly tied to wider color workflows.

Earlier reports pointed to a 2K, 120Hz LTPO OLED panel for the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. This new leak uses “LIPO” instead, which can refer to panel packaging rather than the underlying OLED type. In other words, the resolution and refresh rate could still match the earlier 2K 120Hz LTPO OLED rumor, while the new detail is about how the screen is built and how slim the borders can be.

The leak also claims the display can drop to 1 nit for very low-brightness viewing, and that a new substrate helps make this possible. If accurate, that would be a meaningful quality-of-life change for late-night use.

There’s also mention of an additional hardware feature that wasn’t specified. Some commenters speculate a Privacy Display feature similar to what’s been discussed around the Galaxy S26 Ultra, but that’s not confirmed.

Beyond the screen, the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max are rumored to push high-end specs again, including dual 200MP cameras and batteries above 7,000mAh. Leaks also suggest variants with and without a rear secondary display, similar to what we’ve seen on recent Xiaomi concepts and special editions.
