Google Pixel 11 Leak Reveals Tensor G6 and Possible RAM Cut

The Google Pixel 11 is expected to launch in mid-to-late August 2026, and fresh leaks are giving the clearest picture yet of what's changing under the hood, including a possible RAM cut that has some prospective buyers concerned. The base Pixel 11 is reportedly moving to the new Tensor G6 chip while potentially shipping with less memory than last year's Pixel 10.

Tensor G6 built on a smaller process
The Pixel 11 series is expected to use Tensor G6, Google's first chip built on TSMC's 2nm process, alongside a new MediaTek modem that reportedly replaces the Samsung Exynos modems Google has used for years. The smaller process node should bring better thermal efficiency and improved battery life across the lineup.

The RAM concern
Leaker Mystic Leaks claims the base Pixel 11 could ship with 8GB of RAM, down from the 12GB found in the Pixel 10. That would put the entry model below Google's own stated minimum of 12GB RAM and Gemini Nano version 3 for running Gemini Intelligence, the headline AI feature Google confirmed for this generation, raising the odd possibility that the cheapest Pixel 11 can't run Google's own flagship software feature out of the box.

Camera and design changes
The base Pixel 11 is rumored to bring back a proper 50MP main sensor after last year's setup, alongside a new ultrawide lens. Leaked CAD renders show a camera bar that keeps the same overall footprint as the Pixel 10 but with an all-black housing instead of a color-matched frame, plus slimmer bezels around the display.

Pixel Glow makes its debut
A new lighting feature called Pixel Glow, small RGB LEDs built into the camera bar, appears to have been briefly visible on stage during the Gemini Omni demo at Google I/O 2026. The feature is currently expected on the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL, though it's unclear if the standard Pixel 11 will get it as well.

Pricing and timing
Google is expected to hold the standard Pixel 11 close to the Pixel 10's $799 starting price, with the Pro and Pro XL landing in familiar premium tiers. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is expected to arrive separately in the fall, trailing the rest of the lineup as it did last year.
