Huawei Watch GT 7 Series Brings 21-Day Battery Life at 299 Euros
The Huawei Watch GT 7 series is now rolling out globally after Huawei showed the lineup at a launch event in Munich on September 2, following an earlier China debut in August. The Huawei Watch GT 7 and GT 7 Pro both lean on long battery life as their main selling point against rival smartwatches, with details confirmed through Huawei Central.
Two models, two audiences
The standard Watch GT 7 comes in 41mm and 46mm case sizes with an AMOLED display, while the GT 7 Pro steps up to a titanium case with sapphire glass for buyers who want a tougher build. The size split lets Huawei target both smaller wrists and buyers who prefer a larger, sports-focused case.
Battery life is the headline feature
Huawei rates the Watch GT 7 for up to 21 days of battery life, well beyond what most mainstream smartwatches offer, cutting down how often the watch needs to come off the wrist to charge. That figure applies to typical use with always-on features disabled.
Display and brightness
Both models use an AMOLED panel rated to a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, aimed at keeping the display readable outdoors during workouts and bright midday sun, an area where many older smartwatch panels struggle.
Health and underwater features on the Pro
The GT 7 Pro adds an ECG sensor and carries a 40-meter water-resistance rating suitable for swimming and snorkeling, positioning it closer to a dedicated sports watch than a general lifestyle wearable.
Pricing
In Europe, the Huawei Watch GT 7 is priced at 299 euros, with the GT 7 Pro starting at 429 euros. China pricing for the standard model runs from roughly 1,588 to 1,688 CNY depending on case size, with the GT 7 Pro at about 2,688 CNY.
Availability
Pre-orders opened alongside the unveiling, with the standard Watch GT 7 going on sale first and the GT 7 Pro following shortly after in most markets, including the recent Italian retail launch tied to the Munich event.
Where it fits against rivals
Against smartwatches from Samsung and Apple, the Watch GT 7's multi-week battery life stands out as its clearest differentiator, even as it trades some app support and ecosystem integration for that endurance.
Protect your Huawei Watch GT 7 with a Komodoty band
A watch built for 21 days between charges is worth pairing with a band that holds up just as long. Komodoty makes smartwatch bands in Alcantara, aramid fiber, and slim wood with a Kevlar core, with a secure fit and clean cutouts around the case.
