MacBook Pro M5 Pro Models Hit Record-Low Prices on Amazon

The MacBook Pro has hit record-low prices on Amazon, with the 14-inch M5 Pro model down to $2,399 and the 16-inch model down to $2,499. Both cuts apply to configurations built around Apple's M5 Pro chip rather than the entry-level M5 version.

The 14-inch discount
Amazon has the 14-inch MacBook Pro with a 15-core M5 Pro chip, 24GB of RAM, and 2TB of storage at $2,399, down $600 from its $2,999 list price. The discount applies to the Space Black finish.

The 16-inch discount
The 16-inch MacBook Pro, built with an 18-core M5 Pro chip, 24GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage, is listed at $2,499, a $500 cut from its $2,999 price.

Why these configurations stand out
Both machines use the higher-end M5 Pro chip rather than the base M5, which means more CPU and GPU cores for tasks like video editing and 3D rendering. Pairing that chip with 24GB of RAM on both sizes makes these two of the more capable MacBook Pro configurations Apple currently sells.

Storage trade-off between sizes
The 14-inch deal includes 2TB of storage against the 16-inch model's 1TB, so buyers who need more local storage but prefer the smaller body get more capacity for less money at the current sale prices.

No end date listed
Amazon has not said how long either discount will run, and record-low pricing on MacBook Pro models has tended to shift during major shopping periods, so buyers who want one of these configurations should check current Amazon listings before deciding.

Who the deal suits
At $2,399 and $2,499, these MacBook Pro configurations suit buyers who already planned to spend near list price on an M5 Pro machine and want extra RAM or storage without paying full price for it.

How the two sizes compare day to day
The 16-inch model's larger body gives it more room for cooling and a bigger battery, which tends to matter more for sustained workloads like exporting long video timelines. The 14-inch model is easier to carry daily and, in this particular deal, actually ships with double the storage, so the usual trade-off between portability and capacity does not apply as cleanly as it normally would.

Buying through Amazon versus Apple
Apple's own store lists both machines at the standard $2,999 starting point for these M5 Pro configurations, with no public discount matching Amazon's current pricing. Buyers who want Apple's own extended warranty options or in-store support may still prefer buying directly, but the price gap at these levels is large enough that many shoppers will find Amazon's listings worth the trade-off.
