Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ Launches With 144Hz Display, 50MP Cameras, 6,500mAh Battery

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ has arrived as the brand's newest mid-range flagship, landing in India on June 4, 2026 with a spec sheet that reaches well past its price tier. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ pairs a bright, fast screen with a large battery and a full set of 50MP cameras, and it is sold through Motorola and its retail partners. For a mid-range phone, that combination is unusually complete, which is why the launch drew attention beyond India.

A 144Hz display built for daylight
The phone uses a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel with Full-HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. Peak brightness is rated at 5,200 nits, with HDR10+ support and an in-display fingerprint reader, so the screen stays readable in direct sun and smooth during fast scrolling and gaming.

Dimensity 8500 Extreme inside
Power comes from MediaTek's Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The handset ships with Android 16 out of the box, giving it current software from day one.

Three 50MP rear cameras
The camera system is led by a 50MP main sensor with optical stabilization, joined by a 50MP ultrawide with autofocus and a 50MP periscope telephoto that reaches 3.5x optical zoom. A 50MP front camera handles selfies and video calls, keeping resolution consistent across every lens. The Sony-sourced main sensor and the periscope zoom give the phone a reach that most rivals at this price cannot match.

A 6,500mAh battery with fast charging
A 6,500mAh battery keeps the Edge 70 Pro+ running through long days. Wired charging tops out at 90W, with 15W wireless charging and reverse charging also supported, so the phone refills quickly and can top up accessories when needed.

Thin build and long software support
The body measures 7.34mm thick and weighs about 190 grams, with IP68 and IP69 ratings against dust and water. Motorola lists three years of OS upgrades and five years of security patches, and the phone comes in PANTONE shades including Stormy Sea and Chicory Coffee.

Where it fits in the lineup
With flagship-grade cameras, a big battery, and fast charging at a mid-range price, the Edge 70 Pro+ is aimed at buyers who want a well-rounded Android phone without paying top money. Indian availability began first, with wider rollout expected to follow.

Protect the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ with a Komodoty case
A phone with a large camera island and a curved screen deserves proper protection. Komodoty makes fitted cases for Motorola devices, with precise cutouts and wireless charging support, in materials like aramid fiber and slim wood with a Kevlar core.
