OPPO Reno 16 and Reno 16c Launch in India: Price, Specs

The OPPO Reno 16 launched in India on July 2, 2026 alongside its sibling, the Reno 16c, giving Android buyers two new mid-range options with 120Hz AMOLED screens and large batteries. Both phones went on sale at 12:00 PM IST through Flipkart and OPPO's official India website, marking one of OPPO's biggest mid-range launches in the market this year.

Two displays, two sizes
The OPPO Reno 16 packs a 6.32-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,800 nits of peak brightness. The larger Reno 16c steps up to a 6.57-inch AMOLED display at the same 120Hz refresh rate, though its peak brightness sits slightly lower at 1,400 nits. Both panels are sized for one-handed use while still offering enough real estate for video and browsing.

Reno 16 processor and cameras
The Reno 16 runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Its rear camera setup uses three 50MP sensors: a primary shooter, an ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, alongside a 50MP ultra-wide front camera for group selfies and video calls.

Reno 16c battery and chipset
The Reno 16c is built for longer stretches away from a charger, with reports pointing to a 7,000mAh battery and 80W wired charging, a notable capacity for a phone in this price bracket. Coverage ahead of launch pointed to a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset powering the phone, though OPPO had not detailed every specification for the model at launch.

Where to buy them
Both phones are available through Flipkart and OPPO's own India storefront, the two retail channels OPPO confirmed ahead of the July 2 launch. Neither model has been confirmed for a global release outside India at this time.

Pricing
Indian tech outlets reported ahead of launch that the Reno 16 would start near ₹61,999 and the Reno 16c near ₹51,999, though OPPO had not published official pricing for either model at the time of writing. Buyers should confirm final pricing on Flipkart or OPPO's website before ordering, since first-day promotions can shift the numbers.

How the two models compare
Buyers choosing between the two are really picking between camera range and battery life: the Reno 16 leans on its telephoto lens and faster chipset, while the Reno 16c leans on screen size and a much larger battery. Both keep the same 120Hz refresh rate, so day-to-day scrolling should feel similarly smooth on either model.

Protect the new OPPO Reno 16 with a Komodoty case
Whether you pick the OPPO Reno 16 or the Reno 16c, the large camera module and AMOLED display are worth protecting from day one. Komodoty makes slim cases for OPPO phones in materials like wood with a Kevlar core and aramid fiber, with precise cutouts for the camera module, buttons, and ports, plus wireless charging compatibility. Check the fitted options in the Komodoty OPPO cases collection.
