Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Launches at $699 With One UI 9 and Exynos 2500

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy S26 FE, and the "Fan Edition" phone arrives with a familiar spec sheet, a higher price tag, and one meaningful software first. At $699.99, the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE lands $50 above last year's Galaxy S25 FE, even though most of the hardware underneath looks nearly identical.

Display and design
The Galaxy S26 FE keeps a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate up to 120Hz. Samsung updated the camera bump on the back to match the look of the rest of the Galaxy S26 lineup, and the phone comes in three finishes: Blueberry, Graphite, and Pistachio. The overall footprint and weight stay close to last year's model, so existing Galaxy S25 FE accessories won't carry over cleanly.

Exynos 2500 and memory
Inside is Samsung's Exynos 2500 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM, a step up in chip generation from the S25 FE. Storage options run 128GB or 256GB, with no higher-capacity tier offered at launch.

Camera setup
The rear triple-camera system carries over largely unchanged: a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide, and an 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. A 12MP front camera handles selfies, and video recording tops out at familiar resolutions rather than gaining a new mode.

Battery and charging
A 4,900mAh battery with 45W wired charging powers the Galaxy S26 FE, matching last year's numbers rather than pushing them forward. Samsung has not added faster charging or wireless charging upgrades for this generation.

One UI 9 arrives first here
The real headline is software. The Galaxy S26 FE is the first phone in the S26 family to ship with One UI 9 on Android 17, a build otherwise limited to the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Flip8. New features include My FanCam, which tracks a subject through video for easier social sharing, along with added Gemini-powered AI tools. Samsung is also promising up to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.

Price and availability
The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is available from September 4 in select regions, starting at $699.99. That price positions it well above where the outgoing S25 FE now sells at some retailers, a shift Samsung has tied to industry-wide memory price increases affecting phone pricing broadly this year.

Protect the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE with a Komodoty case
A new colorway and camera design are worth protecting from day one. Komodoty makes fitted cases for Samsung Galaxy phones, including options in slim wood with a Kevlar core, aramid fiber, and Alcantara, each cut precisely around the camera and speaker openings with full wireless charging support. Browse the lineup in the Komodoty Samsung Galaxy cases collection.
