Samsung Raises Galaxy A, F, and M Series Prices in India Again
Samsung Galaxy phone buyers in India are paying more again. Effective July 4, Samsung has raised prices on seven of its Galaxy A, F, and M series phones by about ₹1,000 each, according to reports from SamMobile and 9to5Google. It is reportedly the fifth price revision for these models in recent months.
The seven phones affected
The latest round covers the Galaxy A06 5G, now starting at ₹14,999; the Galaxy A07 4G at ₹11,999; the Galaxy A07 5G at ₹17,999; the Galaxy A17 5G at ₹23,499; the Galaxy F07 4G at ₹11,399; the Galaxy F17 5G at ₹19,999; and the Galaxy M07 4G at ₹11,399.
Higher storage tiers go up too
The increase is not limited to base configurations. Other storage variants of the same models also rise by roughly ₹1,000, so stepping up to more storage costs more across the whole range.
How far prices have drifted
The cumulative effect is bigger than any single hike. The Galaxy A06 5G launched last year at ₹10,499 for the 4GB + 64GB version; that same configuration now lists at ₹14,999 — a rise of more than 40 percent without any change to the hardware.
Memory costs are the driver
The trigger is the global surge in memory chip prices. DRAM and storage costs have climbed sharply through 2026 as chipmakers shift capacity toward AI data centers, and entry-level phones absorb the pain first because memory makes up a larger share of their build cost. Analysts expect the squeeze to continue into next year.
Part of a wider pattern
Samsung already lifted prices on several devices, including tablets, back in April, and higher storage versions of its flagship and foldable phones have seen increases as well. Leaks suggest the upcoming Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2 could follow the same path. Buyers waiting for these models to get cheaper may be waiting a long time.
What it means for buyers
If a Galaxy A, F, or M series phone is on your list, the practical advice is simple: current street prices may be the best available for a while, and older stock at pre-hike prices tends to disappear fast. Comparing retailers before the new prices settle in can still save money.
