Xiaomi 18 Pro India Launch Confirmed: Specs and Price Expectations
Xiaomi has confirmed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro is coming to India, announcing the news at Qualcomm's Snapdragon event during IMC 2026 in New Delhi. The Xiaomi 18 Pro will be among the first phones in India to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset.
What Xiaomi confirmed
Gautam Batra, Xiaomi's Associate Director of Product Marketing, made the announcement in New Delhi, saying the Xiaomi 18 Pro builds on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 platform. Xiaomi did not share a launch date, though reports expect the phone to arrive in India by the end of December.
Pricing still unknown
Xiaomi has not revealed Indian pricing for the Xiaomi 18 Pro. Industry watchers expect it to cost more than the Xiaomi 17 Pro series did at launch, pointing to an ongoing RAM supply crunch pushing component costs higher across the phone industry.
Display and build
The Xiaomi 18 Pro pairs a 6.4-inch display running at 1.5K resolution and 120Hz with a smaller 2.7-inch rear display at the same refresh rate, which includes a privacy mode for notifications.
Battery and charging
A 7,000mAh battery backs the Xiaomi 18 Pro, with 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 27W reverse wired charging, specs confirmed at the phone's original China launch.
Camera system
The rear setup pairs a 200MP main sensor with a 200MP telephoto camera and a 50MP ultrawide lens, with the camera tuning handled in partnership with Leica.
Software
Indian units will ship with HyperOS 4 running on top of Android 17 out of the box, matching the software Xiaomi has rolled out on its other recent flagships.
What's still missing
Xiaomi hasn't said whether the larger Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, which launched in China with an 8,500mAh battery alongside the Pro, will also reach India. For now the confirmation covers the Xiaomi 18 Pro alone, with the rest of the lineup's India plans left for a later announcement.
What to watch for next
With the chipset and core specs already locked in from the China launch, the open questions for Indian buyers are timing and price. A confirmed date, alongside local pricing and any India-specific features, should follow as Xiaomi moves closer to a retail launch in the coming weeks.
