Google Pixel Watch 5 Is Now Available: Price and Specs

The Google Pixel Watch 5 is now on sale, arriving alongside the Pixel 11 phone lineup as Google's latest Wear OS smartwatch. The Pixel Watch 5 keeps the same design as its predecessor while making smaller upgrades to battery and storage, a cautious approach after several years of bigger redesigns.

Release and availability
The Pixel Watch 5 launched August 12 and became available in stores August 20, with a Stephen Curry Edition following on September 3, giving Google a staggered rollout across its standard and limited-edition models.

Price
The base 41mm Bluetooth model starts at $399, up $50 from the prior generation. The 45mm version starts at $429, and LTE models cost roughly $100 more than their Wi-Fi/Bluetooth counterparts. The Stephen Curry Edition retails for $579, positioning it as the most expensive Pixel Watch model to date.

Design and display
Google keeps the Pixel Watch 5 nearly identical in design to the Pixel Watch 4, with the same domed display and circular case options in 41mm and 45mm sizes, a choice that keeps existing bands and accessories compatible with the new model.

Storage and battery
Storage doubles to 64GB on the Pixel Watch 5. Battery capacity comes in at 332mAh on the 41mm model and 465mAh on the 45mm version, supporting Google's multi-day battery claims for the line under typical use.

Performance
A modestly boosted version of last year's chipset drives the Pixel Watch 5, prioritizing battery efficiency over raw speed gains, which tracks with Google's approach to the smartwatch category over the past few generations rather than chasing benchmark wins.

Health and fitness features
The Pixel Watch 5 continues to lean on Fitbit's tracking tools for heart rate, sleep, and activity, integrated directly into Wear OS rather than a separate app experience, which remains one of the platform's stronger selling points against rival smartwatches.

Ecosystem fit
Because the Pixel Watch 5 pairs most closely with Google's own Pixel phones, buyers already in that ecosystem get the smoothest setup and notification experience, while Android users on other brands can still connect it, though some Pixel-exclusive features and faster notification syncing won't carry over to non-Pixel phones.

Protect the Google Pixel Watch 5 with a Komodoty band
A smartwatch this central to daily use benefits from a band that matches its case and materials. Komodoty offers alternative smartwatch bands in premium materials with secure clasps, designed to fit the Google Pixel Watch 5 and other Wear OS and universal watch cases.
