Article: Moto Tag 2 US Launch Hint

Moto Tag 2 US Launch Hint

Moto Tag 2 may be moving closer to a proper US release after Motorola removed the first-generation Moto Tag from its main US accessory page.

The first-generation Moto Tag was previously listed with Motorola’s other connected accessories, including Moto Watch and Pen Ultra. It no longer appears in that main section, although it can still be found through search and direct access.

First-Generation Moto Tag Is Less Visible

The change does not appear to mean the original Moto Tag has fully disappeared from Motorola’s US site. It is still reachable through a direct product page and still appears in search results.

Its removal from the main accessory listing may point to a product transition. That is especially relevant because Moto Tag 2 has already been announced, but Motorola has not confirmed a firm US release date.

Moto Tag 2 Is Already Available Elsewhere

Moto Tag 2 has been available in regions outside the United States for several months. In the US, buyers have mainly had to rely on importers or third-party sellers.

A wider US release would make the tracker easier to buy through official channels and could give Android users a more direct alternative to other item trackers.

What Moto Tag 2 Changes

Moto Tag 2 is not described as a major redesign. Its key updates focus on tracking performance through Android Find Hub and longer battery life.

Those changes matter for a tracker. Better Find Hub support can help with location updates, while longer battery life reduces the need for regular maintenance.

Why The Timing Matters

Motorola’s decision to make the first-generation Moto Tag less prominent in the US comes shortly after Moto Tag 2’s earlier announcement.

That timing suggests Motorola may be preparing to shift attention toward the newer model. The company has not confirmed this, so the change should still be treated as a sign rather than an official launch notice.

What Buyers Should Know

Anyone looking for a Motorola tracker in the US may want to check whether they are buying the first-generation Moto Tag or the newer Moto Tag 2.

The first-generation model may still be available, but Moto Tag 2 is the more current product and brings the more useful updates for Android Find Hub tracking.

Moto Tag 2 is a small accessory, but it fits into the same daily carry setup as phones, keys, wallets, and bags. For practical daily tech accessories, visit Komodoty at https://komodoty.com/collections/alternative-accessories.
