OnePlus Retail Space Shrinks at Best Buy
OnePlus phones are becoming harder to find on Best Buy display shelves in the US, even though some models are still listed for sale online.
What changed at Best Buy
The main shift is physical retail visibility. Reports tied to multiple Best Buy locations indicate that OnePlus demo units have been removed from unlocked phone display areas. For shoppers, that matters because many buyers still want to handle a phone before placing an order.

Best Buy's website still shows OnePlus devices for purchase, including the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 15R in current search results. That means this looks more like a retail floor pullback than a full online exit.
Why the shelf space matters
For OnePlus, store presence has always been important in the US. The brand has not had the same broad carrier store reach as Samsung, Apple, or Google, so in-store demo space at a national retailer gave it practical exposure to buyers comparing unlocked phones.
When that demo space goes away, the effect is simple. Fewer shoppers will see the phones, fewer will try them, and fewer will think about OnePlus during an upgrade cycle.
Nothing is taking over the same space
The retail story gets more notable because Nothing devices are reportedly moving into the same unlocked display area. That puts Carl Pei's newer company in a spot once used by OnePlus, which adds a clear market signal even if neither retailer signage nor shelf changes come with a formal public statement.
For buyers, the result is not just about branding. It changes what is physically available to compare in store. If the phones in front of shoppers are now from Nothing instead of OnePlus, that can affect buying decisions long before anyone reads a spec sheet.
Online listings still matter
One useful detail is that OnePlus has not completely vanished from Best Buy's storefront. The OnePlus 15 is still listed online, and Best Buy search results also continue to show the OnePlus 15R.
The OnePlus 15 is currently listed on Best Buy for $999. View the listing here: OnePlus 15 at Best Buy.
Best Buy also currently lists Nothing Phone (3) models online, including 256GB and 512GB versions. View one of the listings here: Nothing Phone (3) at Best Buy.
What this means for OnePlus buyers
This does not confirm a total US shutdown for OnePlus retail sales, but it does point to a weaker in-store position. For serious buyers, the practical takeaway is that OnePlus may remain available online while becoming less visible in physical stores.
That can push more of the buying process toward online research, retailer listings, and direct comparison against Samsung, Google Pixel, and Nothing models rather than hands-on store testing.
Bottom line
OnePlus still appears to be available through Best Buy online, but losing demo space changes how visible the brand is to mainstream shoppers. Anyone using a OnePlus phone and looking at cases or accessories can also view the Komodoty collection here: https://komodoty.com/collections/oneplus.
