Vivo V80 Launches in India With 50MP Zeiss Triple Camera System
The Vivo V80 has launched in India with a triple Zeiss-engineered camera system and a 7,200 mAh battery, giving Vivo's mid-range lineup one of its biggest specification jumps yet. Pricing starts at Rs 62,999 for the 8GB/128GB model, with 8GB/256GB and 8GB/512GB versions priced at Rs 69,999 and Rs 79,999.
A Zeiss camera system built for portraits
The Vivo V80 pairs a 50MP OIS main camera with a 50MP Zeiss telephoto lens and an 8MP ultra-wide camera, plus a 50MP front camera for group selfies. The telephoto lens covers 85mm and 100mm focal lengths aimed at close-up portrait shots, and the phone records 4K cinematic video.
Battery built to last a full day
A 7,200 mAh battery is a large jump for this segment, backed by 90W wired fast charging. Vivo is positioning the V80 as a phone that can comfortably run through a full day of camera-heavy use without a midday top-up.
Display: 144Hz and very high peak brightness
The V80 uses a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display at 2750x1260 resolution, with a 144Hz refresh rate, 5,000 nits of peak brightness, and 1,800 nits in high-brightness mode, specs usually reserved for pricier phones.
Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and six years of updates
Power comes from Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, running OriginOS 7 on Android 17. Vivo is backing the V80 with four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates, a longer software commitment than most phones in this price range typically get.
Built for daily wear and tear
The V80 carries IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance along with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display, rounding out a spec sheet aimed at everyday durability rather than just camera marketing. Vivo says the sensor works reliably even with wet fingers, a detail aimed squarely at everyday use rather than a lab test.
Only the standard model so far
Vivo has only announced the base V80 at this stage; a V80 Pro or V80 Elite variant has not yet been confirmed for any market, so buyers weighing the lineup should treat higher-tier versions as unconfirmed for now.
Colors and availability
The Vivo V80 comes in Stellar Black, Horizon Blue, and Sunrise Anthem. Pre-bookings opened on October 6, 2026, with sales starting October 13 through Vivo's own online store, Amazon India, Flipkart, and offline retail.
Give the Vivo V80's cameras room to work
With three rear cameras and a large battery packed into one body, the Vivo V80 is worth protecting without adding bulk around the lenses. Komodoty builds slim cases with precise camera cutouts and wireless charging support, in materials like aramid fiber, slim wood with a Kevlar core, and Alcantara.
