Tilta's Modular iPhone 18 Pro Case Swaps Kickstand for Card Holder

Tilta's Khronos Core Limited Edition is a modular iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max case that swaps its back panel between four different setups without tools, turning one case into a kickstand, a card holder, a photo window, or a finger ring depending on what the day calls for.

One frame, four backplates
The case keeps a single CNC-machined aluminum frame in place while the backplate changes. Tilta says this lets the case "change its everyday functions without replacing the metal frame itself," which is a different approach from most cases that lock buyers into one fixed design for the life of the product.

The kickstand and ring options
The kickstand backplate folds out and includes a silicone finger ring, and it's the version that ships with the standard case. A separate backplate swaps in a metal finger ring that rotates a full 360 degrees, with interchangeable number tags for anyone who wants to personalize it further.

Card storage and a photo window
The card holder backplate has a latched cover that holds up to three cards, turning the iPhone 18 Pro into a slim wallet replacement for short trips without a bag. A transparent backplate adds a windowed compartment for photos or small keepsakes instead, which is a more personal touch than most phone cases bother with.

Straps for hands-free carry
Short and long straps attach with magnetic quick-release connections at multiple points on the frame, giving the case a crossbody or wrist-strap option when a pocket isn't practical.

Materials, colors, and price
The frame is a single block of CNC-machined aluminum, available in Burgundy, Glacier, Lunar Silver, and Titanium Gray. Tilta lists the Khronos Core Limited Edition at $249, with a current sale price of $224.10, putting it well above typical case pricing for what amounts to a small accessory system.

Who it's for
A $249 modular metal case is a niche buy aimed at iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max owners who want one case to cover a kickstand, a card holder, and a strap mount instead of carrying separate accessories for each situation they run into during the week.

Protect your iPhone 18 Pro with a Komodoty case
Not every iPhone 18 Pro owner wants a modular metal rig, and Komodoty makes the case for a slimmer everyday option. Komodoty's cases come in Alcantara, aramid fiber, and slim wood with a Kevlar core, with cutouts fitted precisely to the camera module and ports and full support for wireless charging. See the fitted options in the Komodoty iPhone cases collection.
