Google Pixel 11 Launches With a $100 Price Hike and Tensor G6

The Google Pixel 11 series is official, and the base model now starts at $899, a $100 jump from last year's Pixel 10. Announced at the Made by Google event in New York on August 12, 2026, the lineup covers four phones: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold.

Pricing across the lineup
The Pixel 11 starts at $899, the Pixel 11 Pro at $1,099, the Pixel 11 Pro XL at $1,199, and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold at $1,899. Google also dropped the 128GB storage tier, so 256GB is now the minimum across every model.

A thinner camera bar
The Pixel 11's all-glass camera bar is about 40% thinner than the Pixel 10's and sits noticeably flatter against the back of the phone. It houses a 48MP main sensor with 56% more light sensitivity than before, plus 13MP ultrawide and 10.8MP telephoto cameras.

Pro models add a bigger sensor and longer zoom
The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL move to a 50MP main sensor and a 48MP telephoto lens, enabling Portrait Mode at 5x and Pro Zoom up to 120x with help from the Tensor G6 chip. The Super Actua display now hits 3,600 nits of peak brightness, with cover glass Google says is twice as scratch-resistant.

Faster charging, same battery life
The base Pixel 11 adds 25W Qi2.2 wireless charging, up from 15W on the Pixel 10, cutting charging time by roughly 25%. Google still quotes over 30 hours of battery life on a charge.

Tensor G6 and Android 17
All four phones run on Google's new Tensor G6 chip with 12GB of RAM and Android 17 out of the box, alongside Google's on-device AI features.

Colors and display sizes
The Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro ship in a handful of finishes, with the base model keeping a 6.3-inch OLED panel at 120Hz refresh rate while the Pro XL steps up to a larger screen for anyone who wants more room for multitasking.

Long-term software support
Google is carrying over its multi-year update policy for the Pixel 11 series, so buyers can expect several years of Android version upgrades and security patches without needing to replace the phone on Google's usual two-year cycle.

Preorders for the Pixel 11 series are open now, with phones shipping and arriving in stores starting August 20, 2026.
