Google Pixel Watch 5 Debuts at $399 With Gemini Intelligence Onboard

The Google Pixel Watch 5 is official, starting at $399 for the 41mm Wi-Fi model, with a 45mm version at $429 and a Stephen Curry special edition at $579. Google announced the watch alongside the Pixel 11 series at its Made by Google event on August 12, 2026.

Price is up $50 from last year
The cheapest Pixel Watch 5 configuration now costs $50 more than the equivalent Pixel Watch 4 model, continuing a trend of price increases across Google's hardware line this year.

Same chip, more memory
The Pixel Watch 5 keeps the Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 chip that has powered Pixel Watches since 2023, but RAM jumps from 2GB to 3GB and storage doubles to 64GB. Google says the extra memory delivers about 20% faster processing than the Pixel Watch 4.

Gemini Intelligence runs on the wrist
The main new feature is Gemini Intelligence, Google's on-device AI layer, which needs the added RAM to process some queries locally instead of relying on a phone connection.

Deeper sleep tracking
Google also built out sleep tracking on the Pixel Watch 5, pairing more detailed overnight metrics with the new on-device AI features.

A Stephen Curry edition
Alongside the standard 41mm and 45mm models, Google is selling a $579 Stephen Curry special edition with distinct styling.

Health and fitness tracking carries over
The Pixel Watch 5 keeps the heart rate, skin temperature, and blood oxygen sensors from the Pixel Watch 4, paired with Fitbit's activity and recovery scores for daily and weekly summaries.

Battery life and charging
Google says the Pixel Watch 5 covers a full day of use with the always-on display active, and it uses the same quick charger as prior generations to top up in roughly 30 minutes for a half day of power.

Wear OS 6 and app support
The watch ships on Wear OS 6, giving it access to the current lineup of Google and third-party apps, along with tighter integration with Android phones running Android 17.

Design carries over from last year
Google kept the same rounded case shape and quick-release band system introduced on earlier Pixel Watch generations, so existing bands from recent models should continue to fit the Pixel Watch 5.

Availability
The Pixel Watch 5 is available to preorder now and reaches stores on August 20, 2026, the same date as the Pixel 11 phones.
