Motorola Moto Watch Ultra Returns With Wear OS for $349.99

Moto Watch Ultra marks Motorola's return to Wear OS, arriving as a premium smartwatch built with Polar and priced at $349.99. Rather than reviving the Moto 360 name, Motorola is starting a new line aimed squarely at the Apple Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch crowd, with LTE connectivity and multi-day battery life as its two biggest selling points.

A Polar health partnership
Built in partnership with Polar, the Moto Watch Ultra brings flagship-tier health and fitness tracking to Motorola's wearable lineup for the first time, alongside standard smartwatch features running on Wear OS 6. That partnership should bring more detailed training and recovery metrics than Motorola's previous watches offered on their own.

Display and build
The watch uses a 1.5-inch pOLED display capable of 2,700 nits of peak brightness, housed in a 46mm case rated IP68 for dust and water resistance plus a 5ATM water-resistance rating for underwater use. That combination puts the Moto Watch Ultra's durability in line with other rugged sport watches on the market.

Chip, battery, and charging
Inside is a Snapdragon W5 Plus Gen 1 chip paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Motorola rates the 550mAh battery for up to two days of typical use, and a 15-minute session on the magnetic charging dock adds up to 24 hours of use, useful for anyone who forgets to charge overnight.

LTE connectivity
The Moto Watch Ultra supports LTE through an eSIM, letting it handle calls and notifications without a phone nearby, a feature usually reserved for the priciest smartwatches on the market and a clear signal that Motorola is targeting a premium segment with this release.

Price, colors, and release
The Moto Watch Ultra goes on sale September 10 for $349.99, shipping with two 22mm bands, in leather and silicone, in PANTONE Black Beauty, PANTONE Mountain View, and PANTONE Nuthatch colorways. Verizon carries it starting September 24, with T-Mobile, AT&T, and other carriers adding it in the following months.

Positioning against rivals
At $349.99, the Moto Watch Ultra lands below many flagship smartwatches from Apple and Samsung while still offering LTE and a 46mm case aimed at fitness-focused buyers. That positioning could make it an appealing option for anyone who wants Wear OS with rugged specs without paying flagship prices.

Rounding out the Moto Watch Ultra
A 46mm case built for daily wear deserves a band that can keep up with it. Komodoty carries a range of smartwatch bands in premium materials with secure, precise fits for popular case sizes, so the Moto Watch Ultra can be dressed for the gym or the office.
