Nothing Ear (3a) Launches Today: Reported Price, Colors, and LDAC Support

The Nothing Ear (3a) arrives today, July 7, with a launch event set for 11:00 BST alongside the Nothing Phone (4b). The budget earbuds follow 2024's well-received Ear (a), and a wave of last-minute leaks has already filled in most of the picture: familiar transparent styling, a new color, and a price that stays friendly.

A €99 price that holds the line
Retail leaker billbil-kun, working with French deals site Dealabs, puts the Nothing Ear (3a) at €99, the same figure the Ear (a) launched at two years ago. US pricing is expected to land around $99. Nothing has not published official pricing yet, so treat these numbers as strong reports rather than settled fact until the event wraps.

Four colors, including a new Yellow
The earbuds are set to come in White, Black, Pink, and a new Yellow option. Bold colors have become part of the sub-brand's identity, and Yellow replaces the standout shade role that Ear (a) buyers previously filled with that model's yellow finish.

Bigger drivers and Sony LDAC
Leaked marketing materials point to 12 mm drivers, one millimeter up from the 11 mm units in the Ear (a), along with support for Sony's LDAC codec and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification. LDAC at this price would keep the Ear (3a) competitive with budget rivals from Soundcore and CMF.

The unknowns until the event
Nothing has stayed quiet on active noise cancellation, battery life, and wireless charging. The Ear (a) offered strong ANC for its class, so a step back would be a surprise, but none of those details has leaked in verifiable form. Full specifications land when the event starts, and any early listing claiming otherwise should be read with caution.

How it fits the budget earbuds market
At the reported price, the Ear (3a) targets the crowded space just under $100, where buyers weigh codec support, ANC quality, and case design against each other. A transparent case, larger drivers, and LDAC would give Nothing a distinctive package in a segment where most rivals look interchangeable.

Launching beside the Phone (4b)
The earbuds share the stage with the Nothing Phone (4b), the company's newest budget handset. Pairing an affordable phone with matching affordable audio mirrors the playbook Nothing ran in 2024, when the Phone (2a) and Ear (a) arrived within weeks of each other.
