Redmi Note 17 Pro Max Launches Worldwide With 10,000mAh Battery

The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is now official worldwide, launching August 27 as Xiaomi's first Redmi Note with a 10,000mAh battery. The new Redmi Note 17 Pro Max sits above the standard Redmi Note 17 Pro as the top model in the lineup.

A 10,000mAh battery, depending on region
Global units of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max carry a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, while European and Australian versions ship with a 9,210mAh cell, and both keep the phone at a slim 8.65mm thick. Xiaomi says the silicon-carbon design is what allows the larger cell to fit without adding noticeable bulk.

Fast charging and durability claims
Xiaomi pairs the battery with 100W wired charging, saying a full day's charge takes about 20 minutes, and that the cell keeps more than 80 percent of its capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, or roughly six years of typical use. That figure, if it holds up over time, would put the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max ahead of most phones in its price range on long-term battery health.

Reverse charging built in
A 27W reverse-wired charging feature lets the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max top up other devices, turning the phone into a backup power bank when needed for earbuds, a smartwatch, or a second phone.

Battery life in daily use
Xiaomi says the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max can run up to three days on normal use, a claim aimed squarely at buyers tired of charging every night. Actual results will vary with screen time and signal conditions, but even a conservative estimate puts it well ahead of typical flagship battery life.

Price and rollout
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max starts at $499, with Japan sales beginning August 28 and Singapore following on September 3 as the launch continues market by market. Additional regions are expected to get the phone through September as Xiaomi phases in local pricing and carrier deals.

Rest of the spec sheet
Beyond the battery, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max runs a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset and comes in Black, Green, Cloud Blush, and Purple colorways at launch, giving buyers a wider color selection than the standard Pro model.

Protect the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max with a Komodoty case
A phone built around a battery this large deserves a case that fits its exact dimensions. Komodoty makes slim cases for Xiaomi phones in aramid fiber, slim wood with a Kevlar core, and Alcantara, with precise cutouts and wireless charging support. Browse the fitted options in the Komodoty Xiaomi cases collection ahead of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max's wider rollout.
