Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro Max: Price, Specs, and Massive Battery

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro Max has launched globally as the first Pro Max model in the Redmi Note line, sitting above the Redmi Note 17 Pro and built around one of the largest batteries ever fitted to a mid-range phone. Xiaomi announced the launch on August 27, 2026, with a starting price of $499.

A silicon-carbon battery near 10,000mAh
Depending on the market, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max ships with a 9,210mAh or 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which Xiaomi says lasts up to three days of normal use, a rare figure for a phone in this price range and well ahead of most mid-range competitors.

Fast charging, and it can charge other devices too
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max supports 100W wired charging, enough to refill a full day's charge in around 20 minutes, and adds wired reverse charging at up to 27W, letting the phone top up earbuds or another device in a pinch.

Display
A 6.83-inch pOLED display runs at 1280 x 2772 resolution with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and it's protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, giving the screen a level of scratch and drop resistance usually reserved for pricier phones.

Performance
Power comes from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chip built on a 4nm process, with a top CPU clock of 2.6GHz, aimed at everyday multitasking and browsing rather than heavy mobile gaming.

Pricing and availability
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max starts at $499 in the US for the base configuration. In Europe, the base 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration is priced at €600, with the battery capacity and exact configuration varying somewhat by region.

Durability
Alongside the battery and display upgrades, Xiaomi has positioned the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max with reinforced, military-grade durability claims for the series, aimed at buyers who want a phone that can handle daily bumps and drops without a case doing all the work.

Where it fits
By pairing a near-10,000mAh battery with 100W charging in a mid-range phone, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max targets buyers who want multi-day battery life and a large, sharp display without stepping up to flagship pricing.

Protect your Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro Max with a Komodoty case
