A Sneak Peek into Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro Unboxing Ahead of the Official Launch

As the anticipation for the Google Pixel 8 launch event builds, some enthusiasts have already managed to get a sneak peek of what's to come. Thanks to a pair of unboxing videos shared by PBKreviews on YouTube, we now have an early look at both the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro models ahead of the much-awaited Made by Google event.

The unboxing videos, although brief, reveal the neat packaging of both phones, each coming with a USB-C cable, a manual, and a Quick Switch adapter to ease the transfer of content from your old device to the new Pixel 8.

Color variations are among the highlights of these unboxings. The Pixel 8 shines in a glossy gray finish with a silver camera bar, while the Pixel 8 Pro flaunts a classy matte black backing with a sleek black camera bar, aligning with some of the color leaks we've seen earlier.

A glimpse at the lock screen suggests the continuity of the in-display fingerprint sensor feature in both models, a no-surprise given Google's history with pre-launch leaks. The Pixel 8 series has already seen its fair share of leaks over the past weeks, some allegedly from Google itself.

Rumors around the tech community hint at a notable camera upgrade for these new models. The 6.7-inch Pixel 8 Pro is expected to house a robust camera setup including a 50MP wide lens, a 48MP ultrawide lens with Macro Focus, and a 48MP camera with a 5x telephoto lens, alongside a body temperature sensor. On the other hand, the 6.17-inch Pixel 8 might sport a dual-camera setup comprising a 50MP wide lens and a 12MP ultrawide lens with Macro Focus, with both phones potentially boasting AI-enhanced features.

In addition to unveiling the Pixel 8 lineup, Google is also gearing up to introduce the Pixel Watch 2 at the Made by Google event, scheduled for October 4th at 10AM ET. This event is setting the stage for Google's next stride in the smartphone and smartwatch market, and the unboxing videos have indeed added a dash of excitement to the mix.
